We are a speech and hearing therapy practice based in Mayfair West, Johannesburg on the Netcare Garden City Hospital Grounds.
– We work hand in hand with ENT specialists, paediatricians and other doctors/multidisciplinary team members (occupational therapists, teachers, physiotherapists, chiropractors) to provide holistic services
– We consider ourselves to be in the business of “saving quality of lives” through improved communication skills which ultimately leads to:

Meet The Team
Shakirah
Shakirah is a speech pathologist and audiologist who graduated from the university of the Witwatersrand in 2016. She completed her community service in the small but warm-hearted town of Ermelo in Mpumalanga. Following this, she has been practicing in private practice speech therapy and audiology and is a clinical supervisor at the university of the Witwatersrand since 2019.
Melanie
Melanie is the owner and director of the practice. She completed her community service year in 2017 after completing her Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Therapy (with distinction) from The University of the Witwatersrand. She is currently working as a full-time audiologist and enjoys working in the field of complex diagnostic audiology because of the patience required to solve difficult cases. She also has a keen interest in hearing aid fitting and fine tuning where she focuses on finding every patient’s “perfect fit”.
Cherene
Cherene is our practice administrative clerk and she has 11 years’ experience in the administration of medical practices. She has a wealth of knowledge in medical aids, billing and accounts. Cherene ensures that phones are answered and appointments are made all while running the front desk and reception of the practice like a well-oiled machine. She is also the mother of a busy young boy – a job that has helped to teach her the kindness with which she interacts with our patients on a daily basis.
